“- Biological farming, do you say?
– A life-giving agriculture! An agriculture that uses logic! [laughs] But this is a word game … Mh! Biological are the materials. Using type compost, it would be an agriculture that uses the least possible pesticides and chemical fertilizers.
– Ah, I heard about it. Type without pesticides or low pesticides?
– Ah, but these are not definitions in negative. The vital force inherent in living beings is drawn out. Let’s say that man only gives support in this. It’s a funny agriculture! “
Our story is born here, from the ground and the hands of our grandparents who cultivated it with love, for us and with us. Big and rough hands have taught us the tenderest care of gentle buds; souls dedicated to the tireless work of the fields have taught us the art of waiting. We inherit this legacy, made up of memories and stories, with honor and great tenderness.
Certainly we are winking at the modernization of our sector, modernization made of innovative and comfortable agricultural machinery, cutting-edge techniques and regulations, but if we stop for a moment to look at the water spray the freshly sown brown furrows, that’s where we come back : those wrinkles burned by the sun, sprayed with sweat and work. This is why the fruits of our land retain an ancient flavor and authenticity that smacks of tradition.
To this tradition, we wanted to tie ourselves to a double thread, never converting the company to a pole of intensive agricultural production but continuing to work only in support of Nature that alone can dictate the best time to the fruits of the earth. Making organic farming was therefore the natural epilogue of our history and it was with great pride that in 2012 we were registered in the registers of biological operators in Tuscany, certified by the ICEA.
How we work? Using traditional techniques such as crop rotation, limiting as much as possible our interventions for the respect of the agrosystem and the whole environment, entrusting us, where possible to green energy such as photovoltaics and using only phytosanitary of organic and natural origin.
We could tell you every secret of olive tree pruning, tell you about our first harvest or how many apricots we picked that year. The only thing we can not tell you is the taste of our products: yes, that you must tell us, between a glass of our wine and a jar of our jam.
